To scorch away the pain

I heard you cried to the wind

To blow away the wound

I heard you wished for the stars

To reach and heal the scars

I heard you dig deep into the earth

To bury the disappointment in your heart

I heard, I heard and I heard

That you never asked for rain

Rain to wash away your tears and drown your fears

Rain to wet your soul and quench your sorrow

Rain to drain the depression and the pressure you Feel whenever you venture to reach for hope

Look for me, pray for rain
